why is it still winter?

It is March 26th people and here in the SOUTH it is currently 32 degrees. Due to my Confederate family history I will never live North of the Mason-Dixon line, but another perk of living in the South is supposed to be (somewhat) mild and short winters. I hate the cold and I hate that it is still winter! We went up to Ohio this past weekend to visit family and friends and a blizzard swept through the Midwest  covered Lexington in snow, and even down here in Clarksville we got snow. Boo. Is it time for me to move to El Paso yet?

We have had a busy March! Of course this is one of my favorite times of the year because normally it is when Kentucky starts whipping up on teams in the NCAA tournament. Not this year. But that still doesn't stop my family from getting together and heading to the SEC tournament to help represent the Big Blue Nation and show why we are the most loyal and rabid fan base in all of.. well, sports. This year, the SEC tourney was in Nashville! As in, one of my most favorite cities that is 45 mins south of my house! My parents, Alex, and Thomas all headed down to our place on Thursday morning and stayed until Sunday. We had a blast shopping, eating, and watching basketball, except for the whole UK getting totally embarrassed by a .500 Vandy team. I sure do love my family and they are my best friends!

This past weekend we went up to Ohio to visit friends and family! We met up with Isaac's best friend Mikee and his wife Ashley on Saturday for lunch and an ultrasound (she is a sonographer at the hospital in Dayton). And then we headed over to Aaron and Carolyn's (my BIL and SIL) house to hang out and spend the night. Our visit was cut a little short because a blizzard was supposed to hit Ohio mid morning on Sunday, so we left early that morning. We had a great time and love living close(r) to them!

The most exciting part about March, and our trip last weekend, was that we found out that we are having a little girl! I am about 16 weeks pregnant and it was clear as day that our baby is a SHE! We are thrilled and can't wait to meet her.
